Philosophy: Experience
Make the most of life. If you have the opportunity to do something you've always wanted to do, do it. Life is too short to simply think about doing things. Think of something that seems too good to be true, and make it real.
I have a list of things that I will do before I die. I still have a ways to go, but I've already done a few of them. So far, I've jumped onto a moving train like in the movies, I got to kiss a girl on top of the Eiffel Tower, and I took a picture of the leaning tower of Pisa lined up so that it looks like it doesn't lean...
Some of the things I still have to do are:
- Go back to Europe: I have several friends there that I've promised to visit. It was also one of the best times in my life, and to relive those experiences would be wonderful. I know it won't be the same, but it will still be fun. This time, though, I'd like take a group of my friends with me so they could see all of these places I talk about.
- Make my own CD: I've written a few songs, and just think it would be cool to have my own CD... It has to be good though. I don't want to have my CD show up at Deals for a Dollar stores a month after it's released.
- Skydive/Hang Glide: It's one of those things you just have to do. Bungie Jumping just isn't the same thing - it looks pointless. I want to be able to fly around.
- Wrap up loose ends: This is one of my latest goals. There are too many "ifs" in the past. Have you ever wondered about paths untaken? No one knows for sure, but you can always ask things you had wanted to ask, or do things you had wanted to do. I don't believe in regretting the past, but it is comforting to be able to resolve what could have happened.
The list is quite big, actually, but those are the main ones. Make a big poster of your own and check 'em off as you do them. As long as you do things, you're alive. If you keep adding to the bottom of the list, in theory, you'll live forever...
