Philosophy: Religion

Some religions have the assumption that you have only one life. Who knows if that's true or not. Some people believe that you come back again and again as different people, and others believe that you come back as large flies... Whatever your belief, it's yours to have. So far, no one has proved anyone right, so go for it.

That's my basic theory to any religious beliefs, and my only problem with some religions. Religion is a tool. Some people use it to help themselves, and some people use it on others.

Whatever you believe to help you get through life and help others, is great. Religion should be personalized, though, and you should do things because you believe it is right, and not because other people tell you it is. When I find the quote, I'll put it up here, but in general, the belief is this: Everyone around the world has their own religion. Each religion can be thought of as a separate path up the side of a mountain. At the top of the mountain is God, enlightenment, whatever. People who travel up any path will eventually find their goal. Those people who walk around the mountain trying to get people to go up their path, aren't getting any closer to enlightenment.

I don't mind any religion as long as it doesn't hurt other people. As long as people respect other people's beliefs and don't try to convert others, that's fine. Trying to change others doesn't help your own journey to enlightenment, and tends to annoy others which is counterproductive all around.
