Breakfast Sausage

We've been experimenting with the wide varieties of breakfast sausage recipies out there.  Here is our current iteration.

Serves:

Ingredients: 
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 2 teaspoons sage
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seed (omitted)
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (changed to 1/2 teaspoon)
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper (only for Troy's)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne (only for Troy's)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
Directions: 
  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium size bowl
  2. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight
  3. Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to divide and form into 8 patties
  4. In a large skillet, cook patties over medium heat for 4-6 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160°
